Scope of Work and Core Functions
To fulfill its purpose and mandate, Adi Vidya Foundation undertakes a structured set of core functions designed to preserve, develop, and transmit Inner Sciences with intellectual rigor and institutional responsibility.
These functions are not independent initiatives, but interrelated expressions of a coherent architecture.
The Foundation develops a complete, sequential, and age-appropriate curriculum in Inner Sciences for children and adolescents, structured as a formal academic discipline from Grades 3 to 12 and beyond.
This includes:
• Defining learning outcomes in self-awareness, emotional intelligence, ethical clarity, attention, resilience, and purpose
• Designing concept progressions from concrete experience to subtle understanding
• Integrating contemplative sciences with modern developmental psychology and neuroscience
• Creating textbooks, workbooks, teacher manuals, and digital learning resources
• Establishing assessment frameworks that evaluate insight, application, and maturity rather than belief or ideology
Inner Sciences are approached not as extracurricular enrichment, but as structured knowledge within education.
The Foundation functions as a knowledge steward to ensure that all curriculum and frameworks are:
• Rooted in authentic scriptural, philosophical, and experiential sources
• Interpreted with scholarly rigor and cross-disciplinary verification
• Reviewed by subject-matter experts, psychologists, educators, and contemplative scholars
• Aligned with contemporary research in cognition, wellbeing, and learning science
This prevents dilution, misrepresentation, and commercial distortion of Inner Sciences.
Recognizing that Inner Sciences cannot be transmitted solely through textbooks, the Foundation:
• Designs structured training programs for educators
• Establishes standards for inner maturity, ethical conduct, and pedagogical competence
• Develops certification pathways for teachers of Adi Vidya
• Cultivates reflective, embodied, and inquiry-based teaching capacities
Transmission is understood as both intellectual and lived.
The Foundation collaborates with:
• Schools and educational boards
• Universities and research institutions
• Spiritual and contemplative organizations
• Policy bodies and cultural institutions
These collaborations aim to integrate Inner Sciences into mainstream education in a non-sectarian, constitutionally sound, and culturally respectful manner.
The Foundation shall establish and operate its own educational institutions dedicated to the integrated transmission of Inner Sciences alongside contemporary education.
This includes:
• Founding Adi Vidyā–aligned schools as living models of holistic education
• Embedding Inner Sciences, character education, and contemplative practices into daily curriculum
• Creating environments that nurture self-awareness, ethical strength, emotional intelligence, and clarity of purpose
• Training educators to embody and transmit these values through teaching and lived example
• Developing replicable school models adaptable across regions and cultural contexts
These institutions serve as experiential spaces where the principles of Adi Vidyā are not only taught, but lived.
Beyond schooling, the Foundation serves as a long-term custodian of Inner Sciences by:
• Supporting translation, commentary, and reinterpretation for modern contexts
• Hosting dialogues between traditions, sciences, and cultures
• Protecting the ethical transmission of consciousness-based knowledge across generations
Through these functions, Adi Vidya Foundation acts not merely as an educational body, but as a living bridge between humanity’s deepest inner wisdom and its future developmental needs.
